We must take steps now to grow our economy in the long term. It starts with expanding job training programs and investing in early childhood education to give all Nebraska kids their best shot at succeeding in life. I will also do more to encourage Nebraska?s entrepreneurial spirit. Current state policy makes our homegrown small businesses an afterthought ? when I?m Governor they will be a priority. I will also encourage the development of our world class wind resource to enable Nebraskans to generate tax revenue that can be used to provide meaningful property tax relief.
